Green curly redwood mantelsOur other section of mantels consists of dry, cured pieces. Most of the mantels in this section are not yet dry. Mantels in this section are a lower cost than similar dry mantels. All these mantels are spectacular curly grain redwood which will list for an average of $1400 when cured. Most thick mantels sold by others are not dry, due to the years it takes to dry 5`` and thicker wood. Many mantels are installed green and cure in place, using a finish such as danish oil to protect the wood. |

Redwood slabs all sizesSee more at the wood shed. These slabs can be purchaced unfinished for the listed price or finished and a base added. I have far too many in all sizes to list them all. These pictures show that we have bar tops and table tops, as well as desk tops and project wood. Sizes and shapes vary as do prices, which depend on grain and other qualities of each individual slab. |

MyrtleMore available at the wood shed. One of my favorite woods because of the extreme variety of the grain. I`ve been buying myrtle from Oregon for nearly 30 years. At one time myrtle was the only wood I worked for a living, doing clocks, mirrors, cutting boards, turned wood boxes, and vases. The wood I have is a mix of dimensions from years of collecting. Slabs, turning stock, and live edge wide boards. |

I have lots of redwood root bases in all sizes as well as buckeye burl coffee and dining table bases. Most are dried for years, and all are fumigated. These take time and care to dry properly. I only use dry stable wood for our work. |
