The individual morel mushroom carvings are a sturdy 5 to 8 inches tall, and range in price from $80 to $135.

Artist’s Statement

I have always been an artist and an environmentalist. I create pieces that not only showcase the beauty of nature but also promote sustainability through the use of locally-sourced wood.

The choice of Western cedar, Douglas fir, and big leaf maple adds a regional and organic touch to my work, enhancing the natural feel of the pieces.

Mushrooms play a vital role in the ecosystem, and my effort to capture their ephemeral beauty in my art is a beautiful way to celebrate their importance. It is a poetic reminder of the transient nature of life and the interconnectedness of all living things.

Living in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by the extraordinary beauty of the region, provides constant inspiration for my art. The diverse landscapes, lush forests, and unique flora and fauna offer a rich tapestry for my creative expression.
